Initially famous for its verdant green tea plantations, it is now a much sought-after idyllic tourist destination with its sparkling streams and lakes, and rolling hills and meadows. From trout fishing to trekking, golfing, walking, boating, etc., there are many things that one can do in Munnar. The sights that are not be missed in Munnar are the Tea Museum, the Neelakurinji – the flower that blooms once in 12 years, the endangered NilgiriTahr in the Eravikulam National Park, Kolukkumalai – the highest tea estate, and the Top Station.
